Paul at Posts & Chains asked us to come and speak to him about his online presence and wanted to know “what we could do for him”. He had really been round the houses with other companies both here and abroad. We gave him our honest opinion on his existing website and offered various solutions as to where we could improve. This included a completely new e-commerce platform, a fresh design of the brand and change of brand from The Little Post & Chain Company, to Posts & Chains. They now enjoy a dominant position in their field online, with strong consistent orders and a more profitable bottom line thanks to taking advice on the information that should be there for potential customers.

Customer Comments

“I approached Urban Attic because here at the Little Post & Chain Company we manufacture some very specific products and we needed help with our online presence as we were regularly speaking to customers who were so glad they found us (eventually) online and that they couldn’t find products like ours locally.

Urban Attic helped us by sitting down with us and really getting to know our products, the way we work and most importantly the sort of customers we have and what they need from an online shopping experience.

The end result is a fantastic user-friendly website that the customers can navigate and purchase the items with ease. The rankings have also improved and are continuing to rise and the number of customers calling us to discuss products and ask how to purchase or what they need etc has dropped dramatically due to the fact that all the information needed is now online and so easy to access.

One thing I liked about working with Urban Attic was that they allowed me to be involved in the development of the site from the initial consultation right through to the final sign off, too many companies just want to know the brief and then have very little contact with you until completion time. I, however, had daily contact with Mark/Heather on skype and email and I could view the sites progress on a live test site which allowed us to shape the site daily to what we needed and took away the chance of disappointment and a whole heap of revisions near the completion date.

I found the experience of working with Urban Attic to be fantastic, I gave them the brief and we agreed on a price and we just went from there and it was like I was working with friends I had known all my life. The project changed a few times along the way and Mark had extra ideas he wanted to implement and it all just fell into the agreed budget, I know larger companies would have been totalling things up and presenting us with a much larger final bill on completion.

If you are looking for a web designer, then I would highly recommend Urban Attic for many many reasons. If you want a small team of designers that understand what the customer needs, listens and acts upon those needs and can explain things to you in a way that you can understand (not tech talk) then these are the guys you should be talking too.”
